Talk around EA FC 27 is picking up early, and plenty of players are already watching the market, checking prices, and eyeing FC 27 Coins as the next cycle starts to take shape. The latest playtest leaks point to some pretty big shifts in Ultimate Team, and yeah, a few of them sound like the sort of changes people have wanted for ages.
Defending Feels a Bit More HonestFrom the early build feedback, FC 27 sounds a lot like the opening weeks of FC 26, just cleaned up a bit. Manual defending is the big one. Tackles are said to actually matter more now, and when you win the ball, it does not bounce straight back to the attacker every time. That alone would be a massive relief.
Interceptions also seem sharper when you read the pass properly. Not perfect, mind you. Some testers still think through balls are a bit too strong. Passing overall feels more balanced too, and basic passes no longer seem glued to specific PlayStyles. Dribbling on the left stick is getting decent feedback, and jockey movement is supposed to feel smoother. Small stuff, maybe. But in a sweaty match, that stuff matters.
The SBC Leak That Has Everyone TalkingThe most interesting rumor is the new point-based SBC setup. Instead of chasing exact squad ratings, each card would carry a point value. So you just hit the required total and move on. That sounds way less annoying, especially when you’ve got random cards sitting in your club and no real use for them.
There’s also talk of a one-click submit option, which would save a ton of time when you’re knocking out repeatable challenges. And duplicate cards may finally be usable more than once in the same SBC. That’s the kind of thing players have begged for year after year.
It does not look like the old SBC format is being wiped out completely, though. EA could keep both systems around for a while. People will be watching that one closely.
Evolutions Might Stop Feeling So One-DimensionalEvolutions could be getting a much-needed shake-up too. Leaks suggest branching upgrade paths, so instead of every card ending up the same, you might pick between different routes. That opens the door to real choice. Not just “follow the line and hope for the best.”
There’s even mention of an undo button and a full reset option being tested. That would be huge. Everyone has had that one EVO where the upgrade looked good on paper, then felt wrong after two matches. Being able to back out would save a lot of frustration.
FeatureLeak SuggestionWhy Players CareSBCsPoint based submissionsLess grind and fewer squad headachesEvolutionsBranching upgrade pathsMore control over card growthGalleryPermanent card collection trackingExtra rewards for collecting cardsThe new Gallery system might be the sleeper feature here. Once you pack a card, it stays in your collection record even if you sell it or chuck it into an SBC. That opens the door to set-based rewards, special items, maybe even exclusive cosmetics. It feels a bit like a proper collection book, which is something Ultimate Team has never really leaned into before.
What Players Still Want to SeeEven with all this, a lot of fans are still asking for better live modes and stronger weekly rewards. 2v2 FUT Champs, monthly rewards, and smarter Rivals incentives keep coming up in community chats. The mode needs more than just menu changes. People want stuff that keeps them logging in for the right reasons.
If EA really pushes these new systems and cleans up the feel of the game, interest will spike fast. And as hype builds, demand for Fut Coins for sale is likely to rise too, because players always start planning ahead the second a fresh Ultimate Team cycle looks worth grinding again.
