Updates

12/01/2021 – Solo Sending rules Updated

1. What is FBG

First Blood Gaming is a community, that hosts 3 vouch-based leagues (DotA, LIHL and FBG LTD) for players who are looking to play high skilled/competitive games with a fair set of rules.

2. Joining the League

To maintain a competitive, friendly gaming environment, FBG requires that all players are vouched in order to participate in the league. This means that the league recognizes you (namely, your account) as a skilled, mannered player who deserves to play in the league.
In order to get vouched, you will need to pass a trial (which will be evaluated by our Admins, taken in consideration your in-game performance), and you can start it, by doing the following:

A) Join the Discord and ping/message a LTD Admin to begin your FBG LTD Trial, or post a vouch request to join the league!

Miscellaneous

You can only have 1 vouched account for the League (you also need to have a discord account linked with your vouched account, to use it to join inhouse games, as this is our official channel of communication – Without the usage of Discord, you will not be able to take advantage of the benefits, including the queue system).
For those on trial, the trial period will last until our FBG LTD Admins confirm your skill and behavior. Players are recommended to use Discord as a method of team communication. If you need any help setting up, you can ask the other players or the Staff.
The game name/lobbies will be posted on Discord, in the following channel -> fbg-ltd-queue.
FBG LTD currently uses the following map version : Legion TD Mega 3.46n

3. Official Channels

Our main and officials channels of communication are:

  • Forum – Any information regarding/related to News & Announcements, Ban appeals, Ban Requests, Tournaments, amongst others, can be found here;
  • Discord – Main channel used for communication & organization within the league;

4. Hosting Games

Every game will require a replay upload (which can be done by an Uploader or an Admin) – Once the game ends, upload your replay on #fbg-ltd-upload, or in case you don’t have the uploader role, upload your replay on #fbg-ltd-replays and one of the uploaders/admins will upload the game, in order to update the ELO.

5. Joining Games

The game name/lobby will be posted on Discord (channel #fbg-ltd-queue).
If you want to sign for the next game, you can do it yourself on Discord (channel #fbg-ltd-queue – You can’t sign if you’re currently ingame playing: You must wait for the present game to end)
It is highly recommended to check and see how long the current game has been running to help you decide if you have time to play a game or to do something else while you wait – Just check on Discord – #fbg-ltd-queue using the command !rg FBG to check current games.

6. Rules

As a league, our standards and expectations are higher than pub games. We expect players to be strong in both gaming and mind. Therefore, all players should respect their mates and the games they share. Violating any of the following rules can result in disciplinary actions, including verbal warnings and temporary or permanent bans from inhouse games, depending on the number and extent of the offense.

General

For the Forum/Discord, these rules are to be followed

  1. Do not pause the game while playing in order to distract players and hinder gameplay. Do not save the game.
  2. Do not spam during games (chat, ping, etc.)
  3. Do not leave before the game has certainly ended, especially if no other player has left (You’re only allowed to leave after king dies / scoreboard is presented at the end).
  4. Do not dodge your bans. Dodging is defined as playing on a different account while being banned on your main account, often by a (purposely triggered) change of the IP.
  5. The use of any utility (maphack, stream sniping, etc.) that gives you an unfair advantage over other players will result in a heavy ban.
  6. Do not multibox. Using two computers/two accounts to be in one (and the same) game as one human being is not allowed.
  7. Do not impersonate any FBG Staff/Bot.
  8. You may !mute other players as long as it does not affect your ability to play with the team. This is NOT encouraged and does NOT give you permission to ignore your team. !mute should be used to prevent harassment only.
  9. Do not flame, rage, troll, or insult other players excessively.

    • If the language used negatively impacts the game/community atmosphere, it is bannable. Giving advice/opinions to other players on how they can better contribute to the game is acceptable as long as it is done in a respectful manner. The other player has the right to respectfully ignore the suggestions if they disagree.
    • Do not provoke other players to purposely elicit a reaction from them.
    • In the case where there is a report and multiple sides are guilty of flaming, multiple players will be banned regardless of who reports the game and who started it.
    • Do not threaten other players with reports and/or bans.
    • LIHL Players that flame FBG players will receive an extended ban duration and may have their FBG League permissions removed.
    • There is a zero tolerance policy for any flame towards Trial Players.

Queue

  • After the queue is full and teams are set, you are required to play the game.
  • The swap command should only be used for no shows, connection issues or emergencies. Swapping because you forgot you signed, joined another game, or because you wanted to play with someone are not valid reasons for swapping and will be treated as no shows/dodges.
  • Players that consistently swap out for “emergencies” will also be treated as no shows.
  • Do not abuse any bot vulnerabilities or spam commands.
  • Do not improperly use the !end command. Only use !end after a King dies in-game, a draw/forfeit has been agreed upon or more than 15 minutes have passed without the lobby starting.
  • Do not upload unofficial games. Doing so will result in privileges being removed and the game will be voided from the database.

No Show

  • Do not sign for games you cannot play. Unsign as soon as you are unsure if you will have the time to complete a game. Once the queue is full, you must show up to your game as soon as possible or risk a warning for no show. Three no shows within a one month period will result in a 24 hour ban.
  • You have five minutes from the time the bot notifies you that a game has been hosted to join the lobby unless:

    • If the game was hosted before teams were allocated, you have five minutes from when teams were allocated to join the lobby.
    • If the game has not been hosted for five minutes after teams were allocated, you have ten minutes from the time teams were allocated to join the lobby.
    • If the game has not been hosted for fifteen minutes after teams were allocated, you may !end the lobby.
    • If the game has not started within fifteen minutes of the original teams being allocated, you may swap out without any punishment.

Game Rules

  • Any attempt to intentionally ruin the game for either team is not allowed. (ex. Selling towers, refusing to send, etc.)
  • Do not go away from keyboard for an excessive amount of time, especially without telling other players beforehand, and/or refuse to play the game in an attempt to ruin it.
  • Do not purposely glitch or exploit the game.
  • Do not ghost by leaking any information to your enemies/opponents. Observers cannot provide any information to either team including build advice. The level of punishment for this offense will depend on both the usefulness of the information and the intent of the person ghosting.
  • Do not refuse to learn/and or cooperate: this does not mean being new/bad is bannable.
  • Solo Sending:

    • Sending should always be coordinated with the team via discussion. If the team wishes, they may elect a dedicated caller for the game.
    • In the case where the majority of the team is against your call or you cannot come to a consensus, do not force your own call by sending before the discussion is finished. You should give enough time for players to object to your call before sending.
    • In the case where the team is evenly split on a decision and there is no majority after discussing, the player on the team with the highest elo (Captain) will break the tie. (This should be a last resort and rarely occur).
    • If you need income and wish to send alone, call it in the chat before sending in case someone objects. Sends which are forced or not communicated may result in punishment.

Game Modes

  • The default game mode is -phgmcbnm,no exceptions. This mode can be typed and will also be automatically chosen if red does not type a mode.

Build Provisions

  • Do not build over 120 value of delay towers.
  • Do not intentionally split towers to delay leaking on a level you have sent.

King

  • Target switching as King controller is allowed, so long as it does not interrupt the King’s attack animation (juggling). Sends that provide HP regeneration cannot be left alive in combination with target switching to delay killing units. Range stomping and backwards waving is allowed.
  • Selecting a King Controller should always be coordinated with the team via discussion. If the team wishes, they may elect a dedicated controller for the game. Anyone King Controlling is better than no one, but the team should reach a consensus.

Disconnect/Draw

  • A warning will be given for any disconnect that takes place after rolls are generated. 2 warnings in 3 days will result in a 24 hour ban. 3 warnings in 5 days will result in a 48 hour ban.
  • Team Captain is the highest ELO player on the Team.
  • When a Player disconnects/leaves the game, one of the following should occur:

    • Before Level 3:

      – A team may forfeit only if all players on the team agree. Otherwise the game is to be remade with the same teams. If the same player disconnects a second time, the player may be swapped out. If you do not wish to play in any remake, this is your choice. In this case, do not use the !end command. Ask for players to roll for your spot and swap out if players are available.

    • After Level 3:

      – The game should be paused and both teams should discuss whether the game should be drawn. The two highest elo players (‘Team Captains’) on each team have the responsibility of making the final decision together on whether the game should be drawn, played on, or a win conceded by one team via selling. Where there is no consensus, the game will be drawn. The intent of this rule is to allow players to concede a win via sportsmanship where the game is clearly lost instead of having games automatically drawn

    • After Level 20:

      – The same procedure as After Level 3, however, in the case either team refuses to draw, the game will continue to be played rather than being drawn.
  • In the event of the game being drawn, the game may be !ended. The disconnecting player should not resign for 5 minutes to allow other players priority.
  • Team captains only make final decisions on disconnects after 3. They are not official for other team decisions e.g sending should be voted on as a team, unless you wish to voluntarily elect a caller.

Forfeit/Draw

  • A team may forfeit by selling their towers and letting their King die on purpose anytime after level 3. All team members must unanimously and explicitly agree to forfeit before selling any towers. You may not lie to the enemy team about selling. See Disconnect Draw Rules for forfeiting when a disconnect occurs.
  • Both teams may decide draw the game at any point. All players from both teams must verbally agree to the draw before anyone leaves the game. The game will not be uploaded.

Gamebugs

  • Any game affecting bugs encountered that impact the game (Invisible units, unable to click, etc.) will be treated as DC warnings (when reported). In this scenario, you should treat it as a DC situation (refer to Disconnect/Draw – After level 3).
  • The warning will count toward DC bans but will list the bug in parenthesis.
  • In case the “offender” can prove themselves not guilty by sending a screenshot or video to a mod, the warning may be removed – up to admins discretion.”

Observers

  • One veto is enough to reject a player from observing a game, however, the observer spot may not be denied to FBG Moderators or Trials/Candidates (Note: If 1 observer is denied, all observers will be removed unless they are part of the previous mentioned roles)
  • If the observer refuses to leave the lobby despite being vetoed, the owner is allowed to kick him.
  • Observers are prohibited from voting, commenting on strategies, and ghosting.
  • Observers may not ping under any circumstances.

Dodging

  • You may only play FBG LTD games with a vouched account (1 Account per Player).
  • Unsigning after queue is full is forbidden.
