Hey all
My interesting in creating this topic is to bring some recognition to the excessive flaming that can happen sometimes in this league, and that seems to be lacking a bit in being recognized and addressed. If you watch the replay I am referring to Sentinels side, Readingisfun and Fashophil87. I wasn’t the only one flamed by him in this game, but I am speaking only for myself.
I know when I came on as a trial in this league I was told how important it was to FBG and those that play in it that excessive flaming was kept to a minimum, and a lot of the time that seems true. I’ve noticed there are a few players that don’t seem to mind that rule and not much is done about it. It’s unfortunate that some of those few players are t1 or t2, because they’re a big part of what makes this league fun to play in.
I’m not asking for reading to be banned for this replay, but I do want to file a formal complaint so that there’s record of it and hopefully some action comes in the future if behavior like that is recurrent – for anyone. I know some of you admins know what’s up but your in obs pos or not on a team to actually see the flaming happening so I wanted to provide some more direct evidence to show how bad it gets with some of these players. Honestly i’ve had games with reading that went well and there was a healthy sense of teamwork involved. Overall, and this game aside, I’d say I have mixed feelings of playing with him. – Sometimes i’m happy about it, and sometimes I’m very much not. I would totally play on his team again.
I want to acknowledge I’m *newish* to this league, and I am still a trial so it’s yet to be determined if I actually qualify for FBG. That’s kind of the point of me posting this though, isn’t it? If trials get flamed the way I do during this game, where’s the motivation to improve or participate in such a toxic environment with such toxic communication? I was given the impression that the people who play in this league understand and don’t believe that being on the internet is an invitation to spew your shit onto others just because you don’t see them face to face. #maturity
Anyways, it’s gaming. Emotions run high sometimes, I get it. I get heated sometimes. I’m just asking some players to try and handle it a different way. It sounds really nice to me to be able to do this thing we all enjoy so much, minus the completely unnecessary BS – and it’s pretty easily doable. I invite anyone, If you really are concerned with my play, report me and have the admins check out the replay. I’m not even defending the assertion that perhaps I do questionable shit sometimes, lol. Who knows, I might not qualify for FBG. I could totally hear that and not take it personally if I was told that the right way :).
In this game, I make mistakes, no doubt. I make some mistakes earlier on being pos 5 and in a supporting role. Like, I chose to buy boots instead of upping the crow because I was having a hard time doing my job of healing and repelling w/ slow ms. Later in the game, I die, A LOT! Some of it? Straight mistakes on my part, guaranteed. Most of it? Antbug- and his entire team trying to kill me first because I’m omni who was pos 5 and has no items but good spells with 2 semi carries and a HC all asking to get everything I got to cast while blinking/diving way deeper than I can do much about. @readingisfun, I was frustrated too – not being able to do a job well sucks. Not being close enough to hit a cast or missing things because I wasn’t watching the right player – tiny, SK or NW, feels shitty. Anyways if there’s more questions about gameplay choices let me know. I’m happy to move on from this and no hard feelings being held.Oh yeah, we won by the way – the irony.

March 7, 2020 at 2:40 am #3101Based on chat log, he actually flamed just few time at around 53min which is not actually excessively for me. However, the way he talked such as complaints about fluid’s play and spamming chat harassed fluid. I understand reading has been trying to less flame but harassing trial player is not allowed by rules. I will officially warn reading not to do next time. Obviously, we can’t control him to do 0 complaint in a game because people get heated in competitive games (not just dota every sports) but I wish him talk less than he did in this game.
If you see him doing same behavior, feel free to report again. It will be ban worthy next time.
