Hi guys,
I was WateryGremlins on Ent, played 1200+ for a few months. Since joining fbg I’ve done pretty well, as of writing I am rank 5 in the league with 1236 elo. Not sure who can vouch for me, I guess I’ve played most with Beep and Tin from Lihl, although mostly on opposite teams because of ELO balancing.I’m attaching a couple of games from the last couple of days. They aren’t by any means my best games but I think they are fairly representative of how I play, especially with lower rated teammates who can do with some direction.
In the Lod harlot game I made some mistakes, I didnt get inc for regen on 1, I called to send 7 a little early so we lost heal on 6 that was prolly saveable (and would have meant we were only -1 after 7). My kc was fine but not perfect, I’m not the best especially with NA ping and on reforged. I include the game bc you can see I was coaching my team the whole time, and I had some nice game reads forseeing the 6 send (where I decided to build up instead of saving for hades) and holding 14 and 17 which won us the game.
In the ygg game I think I made some good decisions where the choice wasn’t completely obvious, like rerolling my tok for anti 10 which allowed me to do pretty well there for my setup, and reading the 16 game which allowed me to hold it and win us the race.
I like my decisions in the tot revenant game, I realised I would do better in this slow game by pushing and recovering post 10 with toks. some nice calls 4 and 5 put us in a great spot for 10, which my teammates cleared easily while I pushed and banked, then I think I made a nice call that the game could end well 16, which was easy win with my proleaks on 11 and 12.
Look forward to hearing back from you guys, and hearing constructive feedback on my gameplay even if you think I’m not ready for LIHL yet.

Cover 3, mid with turrets, small leak.

Good insight, you clear the send while saving 77 gold.add tuskar was also an option here, but i guess u were aiming for bigger units 7.I believe adding 60 value here would have benefited you.The enemy scout thornmail and u use a lot of mana.
345 gold for 7, 2nd lod front and a geo behind next to harlot. Im rly not a fan of that geo since its highly unlikely ull ever upgrade it and its pretty much just 30 gold wasted here. Tuskars have options in your roll, geo doesnt anymore.Guess you did this cause u had 1 free farmspot and were 6/1 so u can whisp without uping farm.You go mid, but you sit on 197 gold and are not pushing at all. I rly dont understand that decision, even if kc You had the time to whisp and press lj upgrade before the creeps reach king easy.No danger to blow a heal with no immediate kingups from your side.You push extremly late at end of 7 then.
You are upping the farm and dont build, sitting on 200g for 8, latepush during 9 then again.Hades for 9, 2nd hades Tusk for 10, clearing 10, pushtiming again.
1 more push for arena and you build an admiral.Pretty bad call, since you know they have a suicider. That admiral is dead value after arena on ur line. Drop lod n rr or small captain for arena and rr after 11 with 3rd lod were the correct choices imo.Your team wins arena easy, as expected.
Dropped lod and captain after 11, rr into cannon druid.keep the lod/hades is fine, but i dont understand ascendant small cannon over just pure cannons.Still, easy mid to a 14 send,mass cannons and u easy win the game on 17.
30:
ygg into captain for 2, correct choice. Cap direct behind ygg is not good though, it can easy get srnds and gets aggro from creeps. push 3 0 and wanderer for 3. This is rly bad, cause you are rip to a 3 send, engi clears, malfs also not that great. 1/0 for 3 was best choice imo, veteran to cover or double captain to 1 shot 3.
You send on 3, u scout ship and regen from enemy. You then plan to go 4 yggs for 7, which is a bad decision. You dont have any ads at this point in time that can help u at all midgame, hence u are taking a lot of money on a roll that cant carry. Tok for 5 if immo is a good call imo.
Fullpush for 7/3, drop an ygg and reroll, the point of the tok is now u are 7 3 with immo instead 4 or 5 1 for. Building for a freehold is wrong, the point of tok is not to build anymore for 7.
Staying 5/1 for 7 and build turrets rev is quite a terrible choice, this build doesnt rly have any synergy.They resend, and now with ur 5/1 u leak nearly as much as you would have done without adds, but you cant up the king now cause u dont have push and you have 2 push here.
6/2 and building for 8 which was not needed for at all, your team had 8 perfectly covered.
Soul of villain for 9 and landlubber takes the spot where ur blasters where supposed to go for midgame. with the lubber placements, you take space away wfrom your frontline. also double upped landlubbers dead value midgame and you do 2 of em for 10 and some revs, which ends up leaking to a small send.
Staying 7/4 is okay for midgame if u wanna cover 15, but you need to sell your blocker so your ygg doesnt become a backline tok and ur other incoming tanks will take all the dmg before it. the acolyte blocker is ok for 10, but it needs be sold after. also u doubleclick mistake upped it, which is 100 value dead.
Your best build for 15 involves 2 more blaster so you may as well have them both by 14 since there is some chance they send there.
Your blaster placement (next to tok) is bad since they will die before the tok. Also you stay on 1 blaster 1 tok as frontline, not enough.On 14 you reroll (unnecessary) and sell all dropped units, getting dh infront. For 15 gryphon in front as well as small tot. The gryphon placement is terrible, it’s backline dps unit not a tank-it has medium armour, flying and high movespeed so good chance it runs infront and lets demon hit it.
You would have died to a 15 send at this point.2nd hawk for 16 is fine, then you should have done rest meatwagons. You make a second small tot-does nothing and 1 wagon.
Both of these are infront of the tok, tok needs to be infront since wagons are your backline dps here.
31:Aco, lock, watcher , tot apparation dm. Thats a harder startroll, but i personally would never reroll this. you decide to place keyunits and rr, end up with stronger roll, but sadly you dont cancel in time so ur forced to play with what u have. rr is ygg tot druid captain. Your team has great roll in general , enemy warri , your line only leaks 2 wari, you push 3/0 here while your team leaks 40 to king. this is a crucial mistake, since 3 is a very weak wave for you. With your setup, you are kinda forced to stay 2 0 for 3. due to a possible resend, especially since u guys decide to send 2.
-You rev for 2, u push 4/0 enemy leaks 34 to king. You call peedee engi mid.you push 4 1 then.You scout 0 attack and no regen, they blow a heal and u realize theyll resend 3 most likely.
-you up another rev for 3, you get a furb send. Good focus and gladly the furb gets stuck behind. You still leak 17 creeps + bolg. As you can see here, your setup didnt allow you a great push early game even though its was a slow game.You push twice and edd 2 ents for 4.
-you resend 4, you push again wisp lj, they leak 40ish to king. You also scout they did king this level. you up a revenant for 5 and add a servant. They leak 72 and ur line leaks 14 creeps free.
You scout a greymane mid and stomp. Your team ups kings and plans a possible resend on 8.
You place a captain, sell an ent and up another rev, 11 units freeleak. disciple hr spitter scout.
-you hold 113 gold for 7 on ur line, big leaks, rs 8. You gte an ygg for 8, fair enough.11 freeleak on 8, they leak 61.
-you needlessly add a druid for 9 and push. i would have def aimed for tok on 10, the ascendant ends up doing nothing for you. a Huge send is likely, and you end up leaking all 3 bosses big hp and some dino/ pudge.
-Push for arena, team decides they need a leaker your taking over that role. No leak on 13 though due to upped tot.Also, you go for admiral which is again, 190 gold totally wasted. also druids added after arena, yet never upping that warlock you kep from your first roll.
You manage 2 toks for 15, 3 toks and druid for 16 and game over.
You end up having a decent game, but the decisions were overall very debatable. You didn rly needed the hardpusher early on, considering you had clockwork and disciple line as allys with great adds. also hydra darkmage is a beast as holder. If youd have played it safer, no freeleaks and a lot more efficiency in the outcome. This isnt as deep as the other replays analized, cause i wanted to finish it today to not let u wait longer.
So after all, i do believe you are not ready for a trial yet, fbg ltd should give u a place where you can play with people that are stronger and also people that are weaker then you. Imo theres a good fit for you at this moment in time.
You have a good mindset for calls and overall teamplay, also i like that you do not shy away to lead games in a successfull way. I hope what i pointed out helps you to improve and reapply in the future. Go train, keep observing and improve. I hope to see you reapply in the futureafter you put some work in.
