* Any excessive flaming or racist behavior can result in a player being substituted with an alternateAlex I really do believe you must have something wrong with your OS or a wc3 file. Your last appeal made the deal that if you dropped, ban would be two weeks.
Regardless, I do plan on unbanning you as soon as the offseason starts in a few days. But until then, I think your ban has to stand. We don’t want crucial games the last few days of the season having a high probability of drops.

Shogun welcome to our league! You do not need to buy reforged per se, but merely need to have working WC3 CD keys. Even if you just have copies of the old game, you can still update to reforged and play with us. If you need more information or to communicate easier, I recommend joining our discord. I can attest to this game having many issues as I was a player in it. It was not Ricefire’s finest moment as captain I agree, but the team comp had potential. As a team we were putting out massive damage after veil, and our strategy was essential to having an ES initation + stuns. Without having an items it cost us multiple times. There were ganks and fights that could have turned around if you had mana regen or blink 5-10 minutes earlier than you did. OD did get beefy, but he is minimized effectiveness with his ult vs 4 intel, it was just his damage that could hurt. So while yes, his draft was poor, it was also hamstrung by an ES who went midas at 20 minutes, with nothing previous. It was an essential role and we had no real chance after they pushed every tower, even though we were able to push with krob ult.
No one is ever stopping people from stepping up to cap, if you have such an issue with ricefire captain I recommend you should captain more, either against him, or in place of him.

Elriko was complaining from the beginning and seemed to have poor attitude, that much is evidenced from the chatlog.

As the game progressed however, when your tri-lane lost to a solo rexx it seemed he clearly became discouraged. The defense at bottom was logical for him to not fight there, I can understand why he did not so we will not hold that against him.
The defense at mid, however, is not. His team needed him there, and without TP or getting there in a timely manner, of course they will die without him. DK is essential for team fights, with a stun + great dmg. It is an obvious neglect of teamplay and playing til the end.
It was not only Berna who grew frustrated with Elriko’s attitude, as other teammates were annoyed with his lack of competitive spirit.
I also want to add, that yes… I do think it was a poor draft. However, Elriko is a good player, with over 100 games, and has only captained twice (0-2). We should not try to discourage so many players, if we are not willing to step up and improve the games ourselves. Captaining is not easy, and to be such a negative influence is a poor example to set.
Overall, the attitude and effort combined for a poor showing, and did not compete until the end. The player has a good reputation and no history prior to this, so I will be lenient. But I will be issuing a ban. Please fight until the end until team agrees to -gg or forfeit out. Elriko banned for 36 hours.

I think we are all in agreement that BoT was not the proper play for a gyro at this point of the game, and LeaveMeAlone has stated as much in discord. He was getting ganked fairly frequently mid, and thought mobility would help him sustain, however with the constant pushing we were doing, counter-pushes were not very viable for your team.
I do not think this was done maliciously or to ruin, if anything, the play in mid prior to buying items is what cost the game. SF snowballed hard, and your team had no chance to recover. Having said that, Aims has been warned verbally and I believe understands the flaw in his thinking with this build. In a different game, it may have worked. But scourge already had its back against the wall, and this way 100% not the right play, I do agree. He tried his best to get back into the game, rushing a BKB after, but was not enough.

Some of Boba’s gameplay was definitely questionable… Sitting on boots + gloves of haste until 16 minutes obviously implies he is going midas, which was not what team needed or was feasible. However he did pivot out of it after repeated deaths made clear he would not be able to farm it anytime soon. He also had a few bad deaths, but I did not see anything gameplay worthy to warrant a ban (such as blatant feeding or refusal to defend.)
However, the flaming is another issue. Boba has been warned many times about this, and actually made a deal previous to stop this. It should be a month ban, but since he had behaved previous I will be a bit lenient.
Say what you want about holybear “starting” it, but you had no reason to go in on pez like you did. Calling players shit, calling them cucks multiple times, is flaming. Those insults are not game related, and just meant to incite team anger. Obviously your teammates don’t appreciate this behavior as you’ve been reported multiple times for it, so I have no choice after reading the logs but to issue a ban. Being mad, and having issues with gameplay is one thing, but personal insults like that are unnecessary in game.

The issue is not midas, its context of the game. Captain as well as teammates all asked you to not get midas, and you ignored and continued to. There were many instances where we could have used an ES earlier with blink dagger, or mana boots, or whatever the case may be. If its after 20 minutes, and midas is your first item its probably not the right decision.
Given you have been talked about this many times, and your ban is already almost over I think this ban was justified. You will be able to play by tonight.

I have to admit, I really did not like seeing the chatlog from that previous game… Flaming a player over one incident is bad enough, but not only that, you told other players to join in flaming him or ignoring his play. This kind of behavior is detrimental to the team, to the league, and to everyone’s enjoyment. If I see any behavior like this in the future, we will have a much longer ban, and no reason to appeal.
However you have messaged many of us in private and SEEM to be remorseful… I am going to take you at your word for this time, and I truly hope you will improve your behavior. The season is almost done, please just enjoy these games and try your best, otherwise you will end up missing most of it for bans with flaming/trolling. When you are actually engaged you are a good player, so we expect you to have effort when you queue for our league games.
I am reducing your ban by half, to 5 days. But please, we are taking you at your word here. We will not be as understanding if future appeals for the same reason come up.

I am glad that you have tested out other ways to keep stability for your game. We realize that this is not a perfect system yet, and that some drops ARE blizzard’s fault. But in the future if you have game crashes or errors, try to screenshot those. Everything else just be honest and fair with us, and we will do whatever we can. We only try to ensure quality games, and it sounds like you have done that.
I am removing 3 days from your ban, so you will be able to play by this evening.

Much as we can’t excuse language like that.. it was very late after the game ended and I do understand your frustrations. Your teammate was undermining and making life difficult from the very beginning and overall you did a good job of keeping calm for most of the game.

After reviewing the chatlog, the following actions will be taken:
Lavish = 10 day ban (Numerous offenses for near exact same behavior. Was flaming/being toxic/refusing captain from the first 5 minutes, ruined team chemistry and attitude)
M4ster = 1 day ban (Racist flame at any point of the game is unacceptable… However I do understand frustration with how team reacted and played for him.)
YoMiked = Warning (No matter how tilted or angry you get, calling players autistic is frowned upon here)Overall, the whole tone of the game was set up poorly with lavish blatantly refusing captains wishes, forcing all other players to accommodate his playstyle and demands. While he was not the only one to blame, I do place most of it squarely on his shoulders for being a poor teammate from the first minute. I do ask players in the future to please try and keep a calm head, and not drag yourself into a toxic shitshow like this.
