                  • Gateguard egg druid replay:
                    You get out of a garbage roll into
                    proton/egg/gg/flying/druid/amba

                  You full risk the first 3 levels. Not a big fan of only being 360 gg on level 3, considering your team isn’t actually great here, but it works out
                  I like the rest of the game, though that only includes until level 7

                  • Dwarf/sniper/harlot replay:
                    Your roll is
                    proton/dwarf/sprite/mermaid/alchemist/spawn

                  So you kinda dont have anything for level 5 or level 8 on this roll.
                  In general not a good roll, which means I’d personally rr on 1 after dropping.

                  You dont roll before level 4, notably without dropping anything beforehand which means you should have done this reroll at least one level earlier
                  Now having 5 dwarfs and a sprite on your lane its going to be very hard to hold level 5

                  I like that you stay 7/2 for 7 since it’s decent push and allows you to do a decent hold

                  I don’t like keeping this roll for 10. Keeping this roll means that you build a neotank and way too many snipers, simply a lot of pretty bad value in a fat game where you can afford to prioritize a good mid game lane, more so considering that your team is already decent on 10

                  You keep building neos for the rest of the game in an obviously not-17 game. Not the worst unit, but I dont see much of a reason to keep this on 50.

                  Anyway, your team is super far ahead and its free win

                  Despite the obviously strong lane in this one I feel like your reroll timings were pretty off. I wouldn’t keep either the first or the second roll for that long. A bit hard to evalute too much on this game since you were really far ahead and could sort of do whatever.

                  • Monk necro replay:
                    Roll:
                    spectre/frost wolf/ice troll/necro/monk/dwarf king

                  Honestly dont have a lot to say on this one.
                  I would probably have done ice troll + spectre + 3/0 for level 3 instead of a necro. Necro is simply such a weak unit early. Also both spectre and ice troll can help monk get in 1 hits on 3 which it barely misses
                  Anyway, rest of the game is monk and necro spamming, which is kinda what this roll does.

                  • I didn’t feel like these replays were too informative so I decided to skim a few random replays.
                    I continued to see some good, some less so. Nontheless you seem to be an engaged player who has a plan for your lane. The mistakes I saw were neither too big nor too many to scare me away.

                  Therefore I see no reason to deny you a chance. Good luck on your trial!

                  (As a side note: Try to improve your reroll timings, they were one of the biggest gripes I continued to have while watching. Mainly: not rerolling early enough, playing suboptimal units while on free / 50 rr. This is of course a judgement kind of thing, but being mindful of it is good)

                    Consider this a general piece of advice for anyone applying: Try to avoid posting replays with any of the “braindead yolos” such as aqua or ea. Sure, sometimes the games can be interesting, but most of the times it will just be a standard build where you get fed. Not interesting when trying to evaluate your skill as a player. For this reason I’m going to ignore the replays you have attached and go find some random ones. I can still look at the zombie one though.

                    Your roll is:

                    Proton / wanderer / cannon / pirate / appa / GoD

                    Not exciting by any means, but it’s cannon with ranged t1 so it’s playable for sure.

                    Not sure if it’s because you felt pressured by red or what, but after going mid against warriors on 1 you add a drunk pirate IN FRONT of the cannon on 3.
                    This is going to be really sad placement I predict. With no other melee units in the roll your pirate is going to be solo tanking every single level from now on.
                    It seems you realise your mistake in-game, so lets move on.

                    After dropping 2 small cannons on 8 I would absolutely reroll. There really isn’t anything to keep this roll for and having just 2 small cannons + 1 big (and a true pirate I guess) makes you super weak here

                    After leaking pretty big both 8 and 9 you push /6 for 10. I would’ve liked you to push /7 here and accept your role as lumber provider this game.
                    Also if you decide to attempt to deal damage on 10 I would at least get a blocker, even over juicing the pirate which is most likely going to die fast anyway.

                    You push the /7 for arena and do some decent leaks mid game. Not much more to say.

                    OK game. The pirate really screwed your lane though.

                    Butcher zeus game:
                    You have full carry roll I see. I’m glad to see that you’re not risking level 1, you absolutely shouldn’t risk with a roll like this.

                    On 2 you place a rat 3 spots behind the zombie. I think this is too far back, rat really needs to tank before you zombie dies (which is now less likely to happen on 4 or any send level)

                    I don’t really have anything to say before level 10, I think you did well. For 10, however, you end up with 2 butchers, 4 zeus and 2 harpies.
                    I personally dislike going this many zeus AND skipping mermaid. Zeus is great for mass clearing, but you don’t need 4 to do so. Mermaid is also great with butcher. Butcher is also pretty damn good with butcher. Whenever you only have 2 butchers for 10 you run a significantly higher risk of one of them getting sniped early. Of course you can also lack DPS by going too many butchers, but I do think 3 was a good amount for you here (it’s also less dead value for mid game). Or 1 less zeus for mermaid at least.

                    Still, your lane is strong, the bosses dance and you mid.

                    Not much to say about mid game; you build strong towers and go mid. Nice.

                    You resist the temptation of
                    bone warrior / lock / harpy / tempest / knight / SG
                    and roll into:
                    parrot / wanderer / malf / merm / nightmare / moon guard

                    I like that you dont keep any of the bone warriors since it either forces you to start 2/0 on a pushing roll or make you do something that isn’t 2 malf start which looks a bit awkward.

                    I also like what you’re doing until level 5 where you add a mermaid. This was either a double birdman due to a pretty likely send imo or just a single birdman, alternatively a malf. Mermaid is just not good this early outside very few situations.
                    It especially sucks on 8, which is really unideal for a lane like yours that’s looking to push and therefore be low value for 8.

                    You do proceed to leak for the rest of the game, but at least you do so with some decent push.

                    OK game, but mermaid on level 5 two spots behind malfs is not very good.

                    I’ve noticed that you tend to stay lower for 10 than you probably should when you’re pushing. I get that full sending is tempting, but when you’re playing a really weak lane you sacrifice a fair amount of mid game lumber by delaying your jack several minutes, such is the case if you delay push until arena.

                    Additionally I’ve looked at your lane in a few other replays I’ve been going through and have regularily seen semi-questionable build choices. For that reason I’m not comfortable giving you a trial at this stage, though I will admit that it’s close.

                    Consider applying again in a few months; as I said I did consider a trial quite carefully in this case.

                      This looks like a pretty easy drop and reroll to me. Nothing for 6, nothing for hold either. Wouldn’t wait with rolling just to potentially keep an ice troll.
                      But you play it starting standard cw

                      You get warriored and are forced to stay 2/0 for 2nd cw 2. At least they resend here and you should be back in the game.
                      Yet you decide to add an entire ice troll for 3. I really dont get this tbh. Surely a resend wasn’t that scary? At least you reroll afterwards into

                      parrot / ea / watcher / doc / wyvern / ygg

                      my results based analysis says that you indeed made a mistake not rolling on 1.

                      You either have to do a sort of awkward yolo mix now or do some hold that will have a hard time going mid on 10 with 2 cw + EA

                      You get an EA for 5 and omega eat their furb spirit send. Afterwards you go mid to their 6 send with an added wyvern.
                      I would now like to retract my statement about level 10, you’re really fucking fed.

                      I actually dont have much to say for the rest of the game, you build decently and manage to go mid quite a bit this game.

                      Either way, I still think my first points hold true: keeping the first roll is hard to justify, so is the ice troll on 3. Rest was good

                      MW para replay:
                      Going to skim through this one a bit, since it’s a bit one-dimensional.

                      I think it’s slightly better to have a wall pull meat wagon than going straight line

                      Otherwise good stuff except level 6 where you leak kinda huge by going for fast 7/3.
                      You’re not holding here regardless, but adding another MW was probably worth it

                      You decide to go full push until level 10 where you stay /6. You leaked massively this game, I don’t think building here makes much sense.
                      You would still have been able to sort of recover with a cavalier on arena, even with 7/7
                      Considering that the game continued ~15 minutes after the start of level 10, you effectively sacrifice ~600 lumber for your next send by staying a jack lower. Probably not worth it.
                      OK game still

                      Mine replay:
                      Your roll is

                      mine / dwarf / cannon / outcast / komodo / spawn

                      So only really t1/2/3 are playable. I would personally play cannon + dwarf on this roll. It’s simply solid any level, has good early push as well and has the added benefit of having a much easier time stabilizing than mine.
                      Still, your team has really high push rolls so this is a good spot for mine

                      Both teams warr so mine is already looking to pay off

                      I actually don’t have a lot to add to the rest of the game.
                      This was obviously a land mine dream game, but you also managed to navigate it pretty well, having good push and reroll timings.

                      Conclusion:
                      I see no huge mistake in any of these games, the rolls weren’t painfully obvious and you have some decent push / reroll sense. I can’t really complain and will grant you trial. Welcome and good luck!

                        Since you’re currently 1074 elo I’m just going to review a single game. With this in mind, I wont review the attached replay since that’s just an EA replay as far as I can tell.
                        Therefore:

                        FBG LTD35 – https://wc3stats.com/games/482697
                        Drop roll ghoul BF into:

                        Aco / slave / tribe / flying / wandigoo / spawn

                        I see either the option of keeping the ghoul and getting a SM as frontline or simply playing slaves, potentially OB’ing.

                        You choose standard slave.

                        You send warr and add a tribesman for lvl 2. I would really stay away from tribes this early, especially on a SM lane.
                        Slaves generally really want other melee units to go with them and tribe is generally ein Hund this early on.
                        Especially considering that a 2 send seems likely from them, you should aim to build with level 2/3 in mind.

                        On 3 you upgrade the tribe which is reasonable now that it’s on your lane, but if you had full slaves / maybe a wandigoo you would go mid instead of leaking to send here.

                        You proceed to stay low for 5, probably anticipating their resend. They skip and you continue staying semi-low for 7. Though you dont do very well on 7 this is a reasonable line.

                        You stay 7/2 for 8 only to push /3 during the level? This is way too late to push /3 as one of the 10 holders. Either push it ASAP or stay /2, especially considering that your 10 hold isn’t looking too hot.

                        You proceed to build a mix of revenants and tribes for lvl 10, ending on a pretty messy build. I would absolutely take the 50 rr instead of investing 500 value into this mediocre stuff while on a meh roll for mid game.

                        Still, you’re 1820 value and have really great focus making you go mid.
                        Your lane is still full of dead value and your most reasonable level is 14 atm.
                        That makes me appreciate the /5 and starting to build wandigos.
                        I don’t like upgrading the tribes though, you should realistically just leave them unupped for the rest of the game.

                        The game goes 15 and you do a nice mid and win.

                        Honestly a pretty ok game. Still, the tribesman on 2, not rerolling for 10 and other micro-stuff could be improved. It made me at least skim another game just to be more sure in my decision.
                        While I won’t comment on it in details, it did leave me with sort of the same feeling. I see that you have a plan, I just kind of disagree with the plan, as in I think it’s suboptimal.

                        Overall, I think you have potential. Atm I’m not confident giving a trial though. If you reach 1300 elo and feel ready to make another request, please do so.

                          Since you didn’t provide any replays, I have even more of an excuse to go find some random ones. Lets start with:

                          Replay 1: FBG LTD80 – https://wc3stats.com/games/464069
                          Dead roll with grunt / ghoul / raider / ship.
                          Insta drop ghoul / raider –> rr imo.
                          Instead you start ship.
                          Ship is kinda unstartable unit imo, unless you have great adds – which you dont.
                          It doesn’t help that enemy team has 2 mines so you’re just going to leak to every early send they make.
                          Blood orc warrior for 2, another for 3. You now have 2 blood orcs and 2 grunts on your lane and they’re already going on the middle of the lane?
                          On 5 you get a wolverine… still without rerolling. Sorry, but this is really bad. Ship is a bad starting unit, has very little synergy with wolverine AND wolverine should only be built for lvl 10

                          6/2 for 6, add another wolverine
                          Fast forward to lvl 10. You’re still just massing wolverine. You’ve still leaked to every single send by the enemy team, yet you’re 1600 val 7/3… but at least you have 5 wolverines
                          Game is obviously completely doomed and you go the entire 14 lvls of the game without rerolling, only building wolverines. I’m just going to assume that this was an intentionally troll game, I really hope so at least. Not a good first impression either way.

                          Replay 2: FBG LTD30 – https://wc3stats.com/games/463593
                          Proton/inf/sentry/tot/druid/flamebeard
                          Decent roll. You start 3 sentries and send warr. Not really sure what the 3 sentries are about. You already have a mine and aqua lane, I don’t see the need to focus on lvl 1 so heavily. This absolutely makes your lane weaker for the coming lvls (if you had para it would be a different story)
                          They send 2, someone missed their send so your team has no problem. I don’t have much to say for the next few lvls, only that it’s good to see you don’t stay lower on 5 and go 7/3 for 6.
                          For 10, however, I think you always aim for a tree of time + ascendent. It’s just kinda what your roll does.
                          Instead you get an ascendant + a bunch of sentries.
                          This isn’t necessarily bad for 10, but it makes your mid game significatly weaker than if you invested 300g into that tot.
                          Still, you have nice and confused bosses so you go mid.
                          For arena you get TWO zeus. This makes little sense to me. Zeus you want for very few lvls outside of 10 and you already passed that lvl. Just leave the infs unupgraded.
                          For the rest of the mid game: I don’t like going for 2 FO’s on this roll. Fire overlord generally likes melee support which you have very little of.
                          You also dont look great 14, making it more awkward to end on a flamebeard on this level.
                          They fail send 14, die 15 and you end another game without taking your free roll.
                          Still, this was significantly better than the first game, but I still would like to see a more challenging roll.

                          Replay 3: FBG LTD19 – https://wc3stats.com/games/463413
                          Rat/lock/tribe/flying/wandigoo/spawn
                          This looks like a trap roll to me. Rat makes it a lot more playable for sure, but looks hard to do a nice yolo/hold with this.
                          Still, you play it and start 240 rat.
                          Yeah, that’s 1 full rat pack + 1 additional rat.
                          Can’t say I’ve seen this start before but let’s see. It sounds hard to hold 4/6 without ob at least.
                          Anyway, they send warr and you kill a bit in mid
                          For 2/3 you nicely abuse rat’s early power and get 5/0
                          There’s leaks and sends basically every lvl and you end up 7/1 1125 value for 7
                          Looking at your team, 2 other lanes are staying semi low and have 1100 val.
                          Still, you decide to add a SPAWN for 7.
                          Yes, the unit is pretty decent 7, but your team is already good (read: greeding hard AF) here and you massively weaken your lane for 10 by doing this.
                          I assume the main reason to play this roll is to do well on 10 with lock/flying. Then play towards that.
                          Anyway, enemy team does a really tk furmit and you have 3 lanes mid.
                          For level 9 you decide to UPGRADE the spawn that is right in front on your lane. Uh. Yeah. Idk why, I really don’t. You wanted to cover 9? It’s absolutely not how you optimise your 10 hold
                          You end up leaking 1 boss with 2055 value and neither of other greeders go mid either – you lose.
                          Also another replay where you dont spend your reroll once.

                          The main issues I see:
                          First game is a special case of… I’m not sure what. I’ll try to disregard it.
                          Otherwise:
                          – Building too much dead value, seemingly not building with future levels too much in mind.
                          – Strange unit choices, related to the point above.
                          – NOT REROLLING. In general I see a lot of people afraid to take their 50 rolls when they obviously should, but I’ve seen few replays where people were as reluctant to take their free roll as these.
                          – Knowing when to roll as well as dropping the right things before rolling is a key skill which I sadly see none of in these replays.

                          With the above points in mind, I’m going to deny. I think you still have a fair few points you can improve on while in FBG.
                          If you apply again later, I would also encourage you to attach some good PUSH replays. Those are valued greatly.

                            While this might seem like a very delayed response (and it is, in a sense), we did discuss it internally back when it was posted. And, spoiler: the reason we didn’t respond back then was that we didn’t find convincing reason that the tk was intentional.

                            Yes, the game didn’t turn out great at all, but it seems to be mostly a case of “ob until send” getting severely punished more than anything. Is the build bad if enemy team skips until 7? Yeah. But sadly many overbuilds turn out that way and virus often employs these kinds of builds which makes it unclear that it was a targeted tk.

                            While you have every right to find his reasoning bad, there is seemingly reasoning behind his build and we have a hard time proving that it’s just a lie.

                            It is always tricky with these builds because they will look really bad when they don’t work out, but when banning for tk we mostly care about the misplays being intentional or a result of carelessness. After all, there’s almost always someone having a bad game. Consistently bad plays are instead met with a retrial due to skill.

                            With that being said, if you feel like you encounter bad builds which fit those criteria (intentional or careless) do report them. We will also try to answer faster 🙂

                              As it was discussed in-game: While, yes, there’s a rule against above 120g delay and prisoner technically breaks that limit, the 120g limit isn’t exactly there so we can’t have prisoner delay, but rather so we can’t have mermaid and polar. The rule should instead be that you cant have 130g or higher for this one niche case, but that’s largely irrelevant here.

                              Since redrum didn’t actually leak a single mid game level this cannot be considered delay since… well, it didn’t delay anything. When you did send on 17 he had already sold his prisoner so it couldn’t be an issue there either.

                              The truth is that the rules don’t fully reflect mine being built at spawn and we’re aware of that. So far it hasn’t been a major issue though since people for the most part use common sense. If you see any serious cases of abuse I hope you report it.

                              … and on the note of Hectic: yes, pausing mid-game is very annoying, but it didn’t seem to be more than a few minutes in this case.

                              If delays related to mine builds continue to be an issue we will make an announcement regarding it. Hope it makes sense

                                I understand your frustration with this one, but it’s hard to blame huno – I at least can’t ban him for it. You of course should have had your spot back, but it seems like you didn’t announce beforehand that you wanted to get your spot back and the game proceeded to start shortly after, so I see this as a case of misunderstanding more than anything else.

                                If anyone is to blame here it’s solal, but at the same time it doesn’t feel like something I can ban over since it happened quickly and I believe it was mainly a misunderstanding on the side of huno.

                                Sorry it happened, but it doesn’t feel justified to act on it based on the screenshots.
